That last point matters more than the rating.
Four things change the answer. If you only have one day, take Al Amal's 14-hour trip at $117 and accept that you will drive home in the dark. If Petra is the reason you came to Jordan, pay for a three-day tour and get a hotel night in Wadi Musa — that is what buys you the Monastery. If you are starting from Aqaba, the drives are far shorter and a different set of tours applies. And if the room is the point, the bubble-dome version of the two-day trip exists at $425.

Starting from Aqaba
Aqaba is about 60 km from Wadi Rum and roughly two hours from Petra, against 320 km and 235 km from Amman — a genuinely different trip, and the reason cruise passengers can do Petra in a day at all. Sun Tours' Aqaba day trip at 3.8 from 4 reviews is the lowest-rated tour in the set, on the itinerary with the least slack in it. And any listing where the jeep tour is an option is one to approach with the option list open, not the price filter — that is seven of the nineteen. Know Before You Book: What the Tour Pages Do Not Make Obvious

Compare options within a listing before comparing across listings.
The Dead Sea leg often carries its own charge. Several two- and three-day tours list “Dead Sea Resort-Beach and lunch, $40 per person, cash to the driver” under Not-included. It is optional, which is fine, but it is not in the price you compared.
